The hugely brave actions of a British soldier who removed his body armor in an attempt to carry an injured soldier away from a warzone to receive immediate medical treatment has been commended during an inquest last week.
Private Lewis Murphy took off his bullet-proof armor in a bid to more easily rescue his friend who had been injured in enemy fire. Carrying his comrade through 20 meters of thick mud, Murphy was unfortunately unable to prevent Private Gregg Thomas Stone, 20, from passing away.
During the conflict in casino online Afghanistan we”ve seen thousands of heroes risking their lives on a daily basis to protect the people that inhabit the area, and to give us further protection back home too. But here is another case of these heroes going one step further, risking everything to try and save the life of a close friend.
Unfortunately for Lewis Murphy he was unable to save his friend on this occasion, but to see such acts of bravery on what is an already incredibly dangerous job, really does make you respect the work that is being carried out by the armed forces. Despite the people who question the real motives of being there, when you see such heroic acts like this, you really can”t fail to have anything but huge respect for our brave soldiers.
